The President Appoints Houstonian to the Presidential Commission on White House Fellowships

Washington, D.C., May 31, 2007 - The White House has announced that President Bush has appointed Les T. Csorba of Houston, Texas to the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships. Mr. Csorba is the Partner-in Charge of the Houston office of Heidrick & Struggles, a leading global executive search firm.
The President's Commission on White House Fellowships, which is composed of twenty to thirty outstanding citizens who represent a broad range of backgrounds, interests, and professions, selects each class of White House Fellows. The Commission interviews National Finalists and then recommends those individuals it finds most qualified for the fellowship to the President for appointment as White House Fellows.
Previous White House Fellows have included distinguished Americans such as General Colin Powell, Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, Former CNN President Tim Johnson, Pulitzer Prize Winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin, Former Supreme Allied Commander for Europe, Wesley Clark, U.S. Senator Samuel Brownback and U.S. Representative Joe Barton.
Other members of the Commission include General Charles Horner, USAF (Retired); Maria Lagomasino, Chairman and CEO, JP Morgan Private Bank; Terry Branstad, Former Governor of Iowa, Patrick Noonan, Chairman Emeritus of the Conservation Fund and fellow Houstonians Judge Edith H. Jones, U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit Court, and Archie Dunham, former CEO and Chairman of ConocoPhilips.
